Early Muslim scholars with deep understanding of Islam, intellectually and spiritually, hold hands with their friends, male friends as they walk down the narrow lane of the bazaar in Arabia. They hold the hands of their brothers out of love and admiration for the Prophet taught of love. And they call their friends names such as 'O light of my heart'.
Too bad such brotherly love can no longer be seen today.
